Follow your Inner Child

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Tim. Tim discovered a magical paintbrush in his backyard one day. This paintbrush was no ordinary brush, because everything he touched with it came to life! Tim grabbed the magic paintbrush and began to draw. He drew smiling suns, fluttering butterflies and colorful flowers. But then something wonderful happened: the suns were really smiling, the butterflies were fluttering around happily and the flowers were dancing in the wind! Tim was amazed and delighted. He decided to invite his friends to play together. Together they drew rainbows, castles and funny animals. And every time the magic paintbrush touched their drawings, they came to life! One day Tim asked his friends, “Why can we make such beautiful things?” A big-eyed little girl replied, “Because everyone is an artist when they want to be! All we have to do is believe in our own magic.” And so Tim and his friends discovered that the real magic was not only in the paintbrush, but also in themselves. They all had a special power to make the world more beautiful with their creativity. And so the day ended full of laughter, play and magical drawings. Tim and his friends understood that the world was a better place if everyone shared their magic. And from that day on, they used their magic paintbrush to have the most wonderful adventures together.

Farmer Charel’s Hidden Idea Box:

Marina stood in the old barn of her grandfather, Farmer Charel, in the picturesque village of Avelgem. The smell of aged wood filled the air as she curiously browsed through the piles of old tools and farming equipment. It was here that she discovered the forgotten box, hidden in a butter barrel. A box that her grandfather, a man who had worked in the fields all his life, had anxiously hidden from the world.

When Marina opened the box, her eyes got big with surprise. It was no ordinary box; it was Farmer Charel’s secret box of ideas. Full of drawings, notes and sketches of creative ideas he had never shared. Marina felt a mixture of wonder and sadness when she realized that her grandfather had kept these treasures of innovation from the world.

Among the ideas, Marina discovered a design for a small box that could generate free power. She did not understand why Farmer Charel kept this to himself. The answer unraveled as she dug deeper. Charel had not shared his ideas out of fear. Fear that others would steal or ridicule his creations.

Another intriguing concept in the box was the design for a master sculpture that would generate healing vibrations. Marina felt moved by the beauty of the idea. However, her grandfather had given up because he had once been laughed at for a similar project.

Marina decided to reveal the truth behind Farmer Charel’s ideas. She embarked on a journey, talking to old friends and fellow villagers, discovering stories of potentially life-changing innovations that had never seen the light of day for fear of rejection or theft.

In her quest, Marina discovered that fear and shame were often the biggest obstacles to sharing brilliant ideas. She decided to honor the legacy of her grandfather who had died lonely and alone by bringing the ideas to life. Together with fellow Avelgem residents and like-minded people, she began implementing the creations that Farmer Charel had hidden.

The story of Farmer Charel and his secret box of ideas became an inspiration to the community. Marina learned the value of sharing ideas even when the world initially showed incomprehension. The village of Avelgem flourished with new energy, powered by the once-lost creativity of Farmer Charel and the courage of his granddaughter to continue his legacy. The kwaremont, once a silent witness of the past, was transformed into the Silicon Valley of Flanders, so to speak. Residents from all corners of Flanders flocked to Avelgem, brought their grand ideas and innovations, and together formed an example to the world.
